Devils Tower dominates the windswept prairies of northeast Wyoming like a sinister overlord, standing guard over the Powder River Basin. The Tower’s flanks are well guarded from all sides, there is no easy passage to the summit. Watch the video to journey along. |
![]() Join us on our journey to traverse from North Star Mountain along the crest of the Tenmile-Mosquito Range to Mt. Democrat. This traverse travels over 6 peaks, all over 13,000 feet. The ridge between North Star Mountain and Wheeler Mountain requires careful routefinding to keep the terrain at class 4. This traverse also ascends Mt. Democrat via its North Ridge, much spicier than the standard route. |
![]() Join us on our journey to climb the Skywalker Couloir on South Arapaho Peak. We also traversed the ridge over to North Arapaho Peak making for a very nice tour of this beautiful part of the Indian Peaks Wilderness. |

![]() Join me on our journey to complete Colorado's fabled 14ers. The 2005 summer climbing season included many of the most difficult 14ers in the Elk Range and San Juan Range. Right click on the image above and choose "Save Target As" to download the movie. |
![]() Journey into the heart of Wyoming's majestic Wind River Mountains, my absolute favorite mountain range. Climbing Gannett Peak involves a 20-mile approach, glacier travel, and snow climbing to reach the summit. Our basecamp for this climb was the spectacular Titcomb Basin, one of the most beautiful spots in the Wind Rivers. You've probably read on this site me raving about the Wind Rivers, watch this movie and see what all the fuss is about. |
