Mt. Arvon is the highest point in Michigan located in the Upper Penisula. Mt. Arvon is located outside of L'anse, Michigan and I found the directions in Don Holme's highpoint guide to be fairly accurate in describing the network of logging roads.

Arvon so I decided to check it out since I might not be in this area again for awhile. The hardest part of this high point is the confusing network of logging roads to get to the trail. Once you find the trail it is an easy 1 mile hike to the top of Mt. Arvon. It is really a high point in the forest so don't expect any breathtaking views.July 2nd, 2001Mount Arvon
