Thanks for the great TR on the Boulder Skyline Traverse. I hope to cross it off my to-do list this summer.

Thanks for the info on Square Top. My grandparents homesteaded on the Green River upstream of Pinedale. My folks took me to GR Lakes several times while I was growing up. Along with Tincup Colorado, it's tops on my list of places I cannot get enough of.
Now I need to take my kids. Getting on top of Square Top would definitely be one for my bucket list. I have looked at topos quite a bit. If you have run on anyone who has successfully mapped a route to the summit, let me know. Before I get too much older I have to give it a try. Until then, I'll keep my feet on the plains and my mind in the mountains.

Great report on the SW ridge of Little Bear. Very useful information. Am planning a trip on this route in June. Thanks for what seems like a very realistic, accurate report! Based on your encounter across the hourglass, this route sounds like the best one the mountain has to offer.
Congrats on doing all the 14ers!

This was a great site to discover. Up until 1983 I had climbed Wheeler 10 times. The panoramic photos brought back a great feeling.
Thanks.

Nice website. I tried and failed to summit Squaretop Mountain a few years back. Though I have been to the Winds every year since, I haven't attempted it again. Not getting any younger. One of these years I'll attempt it again. I think I have a better idea of the route up than I did back then.

Hey Man. You need to give up that crazy mountain lifestyle and come down to earth. I'm going to take you over to the mall. We'll hit Sports Authority to buy a water bottle we'll never take outside. We can go to Borders and buy books about places we'll never visit. Then to top it off we'll get some hair dye to highlight our zest for life and originality.
Oh wait.. we already did that.
5.12 here we come.

Fantastic account of your climb up North Maroon a couple of years ago. The photos and route description were excellent, and certainly very helpful to any climber wanting to try out North Maroon, which is one of my favorite peaks in the area - a great day climb. Sorry to hear you were sick for the earlier part of the climb, but you're a tougher man than I to soldier on as such. Dinner at the Cantina had to be the perfect finish, so long as you had some Margaritas and/or Coronas!

Hey Rex-
Remember us from the Mt Hood climb?! We just got directed to your site while we were googling Haystack and had to check out what you were up to.
Enjoyed your Rainier story. We are headed for the Grand Teton in early September.
Drop us a line sometime-

Thanks for the nice comments about my grandfather (Finis Mitchell) and his contributions to Wyoming outdoors.
Our family is gathering information for his induction into the Wyoming Outdoor Hall of Fame.
It is so nice to see how many people still appreciate his works and life.

Wow, you did a great job on your Mt. Massive (North Halfmoon Creek) trip report! We were able to get N. Massive, Pt. 14,169, and Massive before the weather came on. Much appreciated, hope you're doing well. JZ

Thanks for the account of Gannett Peak. My brother in law has invited me to accompany his party there as he completes his Highpointer programme, so it is very helpful to see what is involved.

Hello:
I'm new to Boulder; moved from So Cal to get away from the maddness that has become California. Met Amy in the gym (helped her with a spot) and quickly discovered what a facinating person she is,she gave me your web address. I have started to train for the 14ers and am looking for a day pack to accomodate my needs; what do you think of the Osprey brand?
