The holidays had come and gone all too quickly. Faced with the dreaded thought of returning to work, I felt I had to take advantage of my last day of vacation. I had spent most of the holidays back home in Wyoming and returning to Colorado had me thinking of a new winter 14er. Recent beta on 14erworld revealed that the road to Stevens Gulch was drivable within about a mile of the trailhead, so the destination was set for Grays Peaks and Torreys Peak.
