Indian Summer in New England

Posted by on October 26, 2012

One thing I’ve always wanted to do is visit New England in the fall to see the spectacular autumn foliage. The opportunity presented itself when Carolyn and her mom decided to run a marathon through Acadia National Park. We spent 9 days in Maine visiting Acadia National Park, Baxter State Park, and many places in between. This was the first trip to New England in 4 years that wasn’t dominated by hiking all the 50 State Highpoints in the region since we successfully completed that task last summer. I could just relax, play tourist, and take pretty pictures as the scenery played out before us. I was able to tick off another bucket list item by witnessing a sunrise from Acadia National Park, this is the first place the sun hits the United States. These are some of the best pictures I captured during my time back east, hope you enjoy.
